Battlefield: Bad Company is an action game for first-person shooting developed by DICE for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 and is an integral part of the Battlefield series. It launched on North America on 23 June 2008, and followed by an European launch on June 26.

Bad Company is unique in the series because it was created specifically for consoles, and offers an entire single-player campaign that includes characters, unlike previous games that were generally released on Windows and focused on multiplayer and large numbers of players. It also emphasizes fighting with squads, while maintaining the massive and vehicular battles of the series multiplayer.
