The series follows the adventures of Marc Spector, who suffers from a condition known as Dissociative Identity Disorder. However, things take a more bleak turn in his life when he acquires the power of an Egyptian Moon-god.

The show stands out contrasted to other Marvel shows due to its edgier tone and a theme throughout the plot. The show’s uniqueness was well-received by critics and fans alike. Soon, he is selected as the most recent and last Wu Assassin and is given the task of keeping the mystical power of Wu from falling into the hands of criminals. He is required to bring peace and harmony to Chinatown in San Francisco.

While the series does not belong to the MCU, those who love the supernatural and superhero series should not overlook ‘Wu: the Assassins. Similar to “Moon Knight,” it is about a protagonist being implanted with supernatural powers that completely alter his life.

The Flash (2014-)

Based on the famous D.C. Comics character, ‘ The Flash is a drama about superheroes that follows Barry Allen’s life as he gets hit by lightning and is induced unconscious. When he wakes up, the actor discovers that he can be able to move at a superhuman speed. He fights the criminals within Central City with the help of Cisco, Caitlin, and Harrison Wells, while moving at the speed of lightning; he is known as the Flash.

Any of D.C. Comics characters may inspire the Flash, but that does not alter its factual nature that parallels the genre and themes of “Moon Knight.’ The sudden and sudden emergence of superhuman abilities the characters undergo make the two shows somewhat like.

Hawkeye (2021)

‘ Hawkeye’ is a miniseries of action-packed superheroes inspired by the eponymous Marvel Comics character like ‘Moon Knight. Jonathan Igla developed it; the series centers around Hawkeye, a former Avenger, Clint Barton (Hawkeye), and an aspiring archer named Kate Bishop, who wants to become a superhero. The two archery masters must join forces as they deal with the threat of a new enemy that could cause disaster.

Although the concept is different from ‘Moon Knight, “Hawkeye” is set within the MCU; therefore, Marvel fans shouldn’t wish to miss the show. However, there are similarities between the two shows, like superheroes fighting evil and trying to help the good prevail and the darker character of the show.

Preacher (2016-2019)

Created by Sam Catlin, Evan Goldberg, and Seth Rogen, ‘ Preacher is a horror-themed adventure show based upon the popular comic with the same title written by Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon. The plot is centered on Jesse Custer, a preacher who is on the verge of losing faith and has an alcohol problem. Custer is infected with supernatural powers and embarks on a journey to discover more about the gift he has received and discovers God. The vibrant images and themes from God and the presence of supernatural powers make Preacher a lot like the overall concept and tone of Moon Knight.’

WandaVision (2021)

Produced by Jac Schaeffer Jac Schaeffer, ‘ WandaVision is a new miniseries of superheroes based on Two Marvel Comics characters — Wanda Maximoff/Scarlett witch and Vision. The Marvel miniseries has done a fantastic job of blending the look of classic sitcoms with the style of the MCU. A couple living a normal life in a suburban environment, Wanda and Vision notice an oddity in the air, as things may not be as it seems.

Similar to ‘Moon Knight, “WandaVision” also has a darker tone, with a bit of humor. The tone is darker with every episode, making it more reminiscent of the Oscar Isaac-starring film.

Loki (2021-)

Based on the MCUThe MCU,’ Loki’ is a series of superheroes developed by Michael Waldron. The story follows the events of ‘ Avengers: Endgame. It follows the main character Loki in his savage adventure as God of Mischief. Time Variance Authority gives him the option of either being removed from existence due to his status as a time-variant or altering the timeline to prevent the threat of a greater magnitude. He decides to determine his fate and the fate of the rest of humanity. The introduction of a villainous main character and the dark tone utilized throughout the entire series”Loki” is parallel to Moon Knight in various aspects.

Daredevil (2015-2018)

Marvel’s Daredevil is a comic book action series based on the popular Marvel Comics characters. Drew Goddard created it; the series follows a blind lawyer Matt Murdock gifted with superhuman abilities that enable him to view the world differently. The man uses his powers to serve society while he walks the streets in the dark to bring justice when it needs to be.

Both of the main characters suffer from illness before gaining their superhuman abilities, which makes ‘Daredevil’ and Moon Knight quite similar. Beyond that, they have darker themes and tones than most other Marvel productions.
