The second season Bridgerton premiered today on Netflix. It featured Anthony Bailey, the family’s eldest son, and he set out to find his wife.
At the first ball of the season, Edwina Sharma, played by Charithra Chandran, is the perfect match. However, he must win over Kate Sharma (Simone Ashley), his headstrong sister with whom there is undeniable romance if he wants to marry Edwina.
Netflix just released season 2 today. It’s difficult not to binge-watch all eight episodes, especially if you haven’t read the original Julia Quinn book. But if you are a little confused about the season’s end, we have you covered.
Will Anthony and Kate get together?
Anthony proposes to Kate after Kate wakes up from her accident. She tells him she will be returning to India with Lady Danbury (Adjoa Butoh), who has promised to sponsor her sister and mother for another season in The Ton.
Kate and Edwina (Charithra Chaudran) decide to go to the Featheringtons ball to have one last night of fun before Kate returns to India. However, Edwina advises them to do things for themselves as they don’t need to prioritize their families.
Anthony asks Kate to dance at the ball, and other guests notice their electric chemistry. The Queen tells everyone she stopped the wedding between Anthony & Edwina because she changed her mind about them – “a fact Lady Whistledown must not have missed.”
After the dance is over, Kate leaves, and Anthony runs to her. He tells her he loved her from the first time he met her and invited her to marry him again. He responds by saying that she knows he will never vex her. The sky lit up with fireworks, and they then began to kiss.
The season finishes with Anthony and Kate joining other Bridgertons for croquet. Kate is now officially Viscountess Bridgerton.
Did Kate survive her riding accident and make it home?
Season 2’s penultimate episode ends with Kate (Simone Ashley) riding in the rain and then falling off her horse after it fails to leap over a log. Anthony Bailey (Jonathan Bailey), following her, carries her unconscious body back home to her house and calls for help. She becomes overwhelmed by the thought that she might die.
Kate, unconscious of the fall she suffered when she fell off her horse, does eventually wake up, but it is not clear if she has sustained brain damage.

Can Eloise learn who Lady Whistledown is?
Eloise is determined to find the anonymous writer after Penelope (Nicola Coughlan) saves her from the wrathful Queen.
Penelope is worried about Eloise finding Lady Whistledown was her and scolds her friend. She tells her to stop working with Theo if she doesn’t want to ruin her family.
Eloise, who has ended her potential relationship with Theo (Calam Lynch), attends the Featheringtons ball and tells Penelope she has stopped looking into Lady Whistledown. Penelope’s gossip about others at the ball surprises her, so she sneaks up to her bedroom.
Penelope, who has just heard Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton), says that he didn’t see her in any romantic way, retires and finds Eloise in her bedroom. It’s been upside-down.
Eloise says that she has deduced that Lady Whistledown is her. She also believes she knows that Miss Thompson was pregnant (from season 1) and that she worked with Madame Delacroix (Kathryn Drysdale) since Eloise had dismissed her as a suspect.
Penelope admits that it is her. Eloise then says she will never speak to Penelope again and blames her family for their fall from grace.
