If you want to get a Regigigas in Pokemon Go, you need to take part in a specific event referred to as “A Colossal Discovery” which is a special research quest involving four steps as a result of which the players get a chance to obtain a Regigigas. 

Let us discuss all the steps involved in this quest one by one so that you can easily accomplish them and get your Normal Type Legendary Pokemon, Regigigas. 

1. Step 1

Following are the tasks needed to be performed in the first step of this quest:

1. Catch a Regirock, Regice, or Registeel during the event and win 3 raids post event – 3000 XP

2. Catch 7 Rock Type Pokemon during the event and catch 49 Pokemon post event – A Cranidos Encounter

3. Evolve 7 Rock Type Pokemon – A Tyranitar Encounter

After the completion of Step 1 of this quest, the rewards you receive are 3 x Golden Razz Berry, 10 x Great Balls, and 3000 Stardust. 

2. Step 2

Here are the tasks that you have to complete in the second step of the quest. 

1. Catch a Regirock, Registeel, or Regice from a raid during the event and win 3 raids post event – 3000 XP

2. Catch 7 Ice Type Pokemon during the event and catch 49 Pokemon post event – A Lapras Encounter

3. Evolve 7 Ice Type Pokemon – An Abomasnow Encounter

Once you have completed Step 2 of this quest, here are the rewards that you will get: 10 x Great Balls, 3000 Stardust, and 1 x Sinnoh Stone.

3. Step 3

In the third step of this quest, the tasks that the players need to complete are given below:

1. Catch a Regice, Registeel, or a Regirock from a raid during the event, and win 3 raids post event – 3000 XP

2. Catch 7 Steel Type Pokemon during the event and catch 49 Pokemon post event – A Shieldon encounter

3. Evolve 7 Steel-Type Pokemon – A Steelix Encounter. 

Here are the rewards that you will obtain as a result of completing Step 3 of this event: 10 x Great Balls, 1 x Unova Stone, and 3000 Stardust. 

4. Step 4

Now is the final step of this event and here are the tasks that you need to complete:

1. Take a snapshot of a Regirock during the event and take 7 snapshots of Rock Type Pokemon Post Event – 3000 XP

2. Take a snapshot of a Regice during the event and take 7 snapshots of Ice Type Pokemon – 3000 XP

3. Take a snapshot of a Registeel during the event and take 7 snapshots of steel type pokemon – 300 XP

When you complete the final step of the event, you will receive the event exclusive Avatar Pose, 10 x Regigigas Candy, and also the one you had come all this way for, a Regigigas.
