There’s nothing more enjoyable than sitting with a partner, launching an online game and playing the game together in the same space. Call of Duty games have always offered split-screen options and it appears Sledgehammer Games is set to continue the tradition by introducing Vanguard split-screen.
But, there is a lot of hope that Sledgehammer can bring new life to the feature, given the plethora of bugs Black Ops Cold Wars’ split-screen was. Couch co-op games are scarce, so finding one that checks all the boxes is a tough decision. However, if everything goes as planned, using Vanguard split-screen, you may be able enjoy the couch-co-op experience as it was intended.

Call of Duty Vanguard does feature split-screen multiplayer. There aren’t split-screen options for Zombies currently.
Split-screen is accessible only on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. The feature isn’t available on PC.
How to Split-Screen in Call Of Duty: Vanguard
For split-screen to be set up in Call of Duty Vanguard, you have to convince your friend to switch to a different controller and log into their account on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S Xbox One. When the first (or third, or fourth player) has no PSN or Xbox Live account – they can sign in as the guest.
Once the login process is completed and the lobby leader has selected the mode they would like to play in – local or online , and click search.
If you would like to add players who aren’t online to play, they’ll need their own PSN as well as an Xbox Live account, with PS Plus or Xbox Live Gold. If no players have access to these accounts, then you’re only able to play locally.
