Fortnite: Save the World is a hybrid third-person shooter and cooperative tower defense video game that was developed and released by Epic Games. It was released in early access for a free game on Microsoft Windows, macOS, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on the 25th of July in 2017, in preparation for the fully free-to-play game to be announced later in 2018.
Epic ultimately decided to shift the game into pay-to-play June 2020. Its retail version was developed through Gearbox Software, while online distribution of PC versions is managed through Epic’s Launcher.

Save The World Split Screen
Fortnite: Save the World is an online game that lets you be part of a team of three players as you fight AI-controlled waves, also known as husks. It can also be played solo with AI friends to assist you with your tasks however these too can be disabled for the ultimate private experience.
Split-screens feature in Save the World can only be utilized in Duos or Squads modes of Battle Royale, when two players are playing on each console. This is also true for Creative, Limited Time Modes (LTMs) and Save the World. But, cross-play between console platforms allows for sharing screens.

Why cant I play Save the World on Fortnite?
In the latest update, v19. 30, Save the World mode has moved to the Discover menu, and has disappeared from the Game Mode selection screen. To locate the newly moved Save the World mode, follow these steps: Click”Change” in the main lobby “Change” button within the Fortnite main lobby.
