Anne De Zogheb was born on October 2, 1942, in Alexandria, Egypt, the daughter of an English mother and Charles de Zogheb, a diplomat from Lebanon. Although the start of her career was quite modest, Anne worked as a model in Paris and managed to attract great personalities like Dorian Leigh, Richard Avedon, Bert Stern, and Helmut Newton.
Meeting Paul Anka
In 1960, Anne met Canadian singer Paul Anka during a photo shoot in Puerto Rico. Eileen Ford, her agent, voiced concerns but defied the odds, and Anne married Paul on February 16, 19. In the following forty years, they gave birth to five daughters.
Family Life and Relocation
In the mid-70s, the Anka family decided to move from New York to Los Angeles and finally settled in Carmel, California.
