2022 Heritage Classic: How to watch the outdoor game between the Maple Leafs and the Sabres

The Sabres will play the Maple Leafs’ opponents in Hamilton, Ont. At Tim Hortons Field, the Canadien Football League’s Hamilton Tiger-Cats.

This is the first time that the Heritage Classic involves a non-Canadian team and the first appearance of The Maple Leafs in the event. Toronto was previously a participant in the Winter Classic, playing in the New Year’s Day event in 2017, and an NHL Centennial Classic in 2017, an outdoor match to celebrate 100 years since the start of NHL. Buffalo took part in the inaugural Winter Classic in 2008 and the same game in 2018.

It’s predicted to be chilly and cloudy on Sunday, which is the day of the Heritage Classic. The forecast suggests a possibility for snowstorms to hit Hamilton with a temperature of 33°F.

Who was a part of earlier Heritage Classics?

No team has won several times in the relatively short time after the Heritage Classic has been introduced.

Of six Canadian teams involved, six have been victorious in the Heritage Classic. The only other exception to this is the Canucks, which lost their only appearance in 2014.
