Latest patch notes multiversus season 1 – August 2022

Warner Bros and Player First Games have published Player First Games and Warner Bros have released Season 1 full-patch notes for MultiVersus, their colorful brawler for multiversus characters 2022 and confirms Season 1’s free character rotation as well as the release date of the character that has been delayed Morty Smith, as well as numerous adjustments to balance and bug fixes.

Starting today, Season 1’s new character rotation for free will allow players to combat in the role of Batman, Arya Stark, LeBron James “Steven”. I’m aware that this is specifically Steven Universe but there’s something genuinely funny when you see the name “Steven” sitting alongside Batman in the announcement of playing heroes.

Patch notes reveal that there will be a new release date set of Morty Smith. Smith’s appearance of the title was delayed due to the delay in Season 1’s launch date from its initial release date of August 9. Then, Morty will be stammering through MultiVersus on August 23rd equipped, naturally with the Plumbus.

Latest patch notes multiversus season 1 – August 2022

MORTY AND MORE

Morty of Rick Morty from Rick Morty is MultiVersus the first character to be introduced to debut on August. 23. He will join Batman and LeBron James as the game’s latest brawler. In the course of season 1 MultiVersus will also be getting Rick (also taken from Rick Morty and Rick Morty), Black Adam from DC Comics, and Stripe from Gremlins.

A NEW FREE-TO-PLAY ROTATION

MultiVersus is a game that can be played for free that requires players to unlock characters using real money or in-game currency to play. Every two weeks Player First Games gives players access to a rotating roster of characters for free to try on a limited basis. Season 1 will begin the first season of this roster for free, and players will be able to gain the option of Arya, Batman, LeBron James and Steven Universe.

BETTER SEASON PASS MISSIONS

MultiVersus provides an exclusive battle pass that is packed with cosmetics to increase their level and unlock after playing through missions. Based on feedback from the preseason, Player First Games has implemented a few changes for the season one season in order to make specific missions simpler to complete. The only class-specific task (i.e. getting the required number of wins using the character of a mage) will no longer be available in the daily game. This is only the case for tank characters since every player has permanent accessibility to Wonder Woman via the tutorial.

Although it is less important daily, Player First Games has drastically reduced the need for numerous seasons-long missions.

BALANCE CHANGES

After just a few weeks of the preseason, Player First Games has changed the character of many players, reinforcing those who have proved to be to be too strong with players’ hands, while boosting those who have been underperforming.

Every character in the game’s 17 has experienced some form of alteration with Monday’s patch. The most powerful characters like Velma, Bugs Bunny, and Superman received a variety of nerfs and weaker characters such as Arya and Taz received mostly buffs. Below is the complete list of patches notes and patch descriptions for MultiVersus season one.

General

  • Morty will arrive on the 23rd of August! He’ll be our first character to wear a Plumbus!
  • The patch will be available in two sections. The first is scheduled for August 15th, and the second patch will arrive soon after (hopefully within these next days). This means that not every change will be made is going to occur in the patch of August 15.

New Free Character Rotation (8/15 – 8/30)

  • Arya
  • Batman

Meta Systems

  • These characters now sport icons in the character select menu to help identify them
  • Battle Pass XP match reward has increase to 10 points in the event of a loss and five wins increasing from 5 for wins and 3 for losses.
  • Disabled classes based Battle Pass missions other than for Tanks
  • Developer Note: As players may not be able to fight in certain classes apart from Tank (thanks for Wonder Woman) We thought that using rerolls wasn’t an effective enough way to overcome those missions.
  • The requirements were reduced for a variety of seasonal missions:
  • Ringout a player at to the very top 50 instances (previously 75)
  • Ring out a player on the opposite side of the road 50 instances (previously 75)
  • Ringout a player at the lowest point on the map fifty time (previously 75)
  • Receive 50 aids (previously 125)

General Perks

  • The air is clear The Air – Improved congruity on the perk effect.
  • We’re aware of the issues with this perk’s interactions with Velma’s bubbles of speech and Batman’s Batarang. We’ll fix these interactions in a later patch.
  • Make it Rain, Dog! The speed of projectiles is now correctly applied to throwable items.
  • Painted Target – Corrected an issue in which projectiles weren’t applying bonus damage
  • Retaliation ready – reduced gray health to 3 HP, which lasted 3 seconds. It then decreased to 1 HP.
  • Reduced gray health stack between 4HP and 3 secs to just 2 HP
  • school me once… Increased reliability of the projectile block that spawns. Importantly, being struck by Jerry can now result in spawning an buff to the projectile block.
  • Slippery when Feint – Corrected an issue that caused evade distance did not increase upon hitting cancels
  • Snowball Effect – Fixed an issue in which projectiles weren’t causing bonuses to damage
  • Static Electricity – Improved reliability of projectile electric damage application. Thrown objects are now able to apply electricity

Gameplay Systems:

  • Ice Debuff – Movement speed slow for 1 stack decreased from 20 percent to 15 15%
  • Slow has now a linear scaling with every pile of Ice Debuff
  • Eliminated a bug in which players affected with Ice Debuff took additional knockback
  • Ability Cooldowns – Fixed a bug that caused cooldowns to not be activated properly when used close to an all-star Jake

Gameplay Modes:

  • FFA – Corrected a problem in which pop-up text would display an incorrect point value.

UI:

  • Announcer Pack – You can now test a character’s announcement pack before deciding whether you want to purchase it.

Tutorials:

  • Various Bug Fixes –
  • Solution for tutorials that create dangers on the stage to be turned off in different game modes.
  • The down spike tutorial has been modified so that it needs an actual spike, not the use of any other aerial weapon.
  • The reindog tether part of the introduction tutorial is no longer valid when you take your ally out after they’ve been expelled.
  • Solution fix for Shaggy sliding off the ground in the air combat demonstration.
  • A wall was added to the second part in KBI tutorial. KBI tutorial.

  • The glossary has added the terms Block Hazard, Block and wipe to our glossary. updated the list of moves accordingly.

Arya

These modifications allowed Arya’s combos to be more reliable and effective even at lower levels of skill.

  • + Special Ground Up/Air/Air feature A fighter’s hit can now be more precise in launching the aircraft at an angle to enable follow-ups of Arya
  • and air Up Attack: The initial hit will now be more precise combine into the second one.
  • + Neutral Air Attack – Now is branching earlier on the hit.
  • And Ground Side Attack Arya will keep her speed after the first strike of side attack.
  • + Ground Down Attack This time, it has a the slight advantage of branching out earlier
  • air/ground Neutral Special – Resolved an issue where Arya could not duplicate hitboxes from her capsules during the normal attacks she uses she was stealing the face of a fighter.
  • Create Arya’s ‘hurtbox’ to match the victim’s painbox, even though she disguises herself as them.
  • Fixed a bug that caused Arya’s top-most UI was wrongly offset when she stole the face.
  • Fixed bug in which Arya’s hitbox to attack disguise might become disconnected.
  • Fixed bug in which Arya’s original hitboxes could be used during disguise attacks.
  • Fixed bug that caused the hitboxes that Arya’s disguise uses could remain active even in her normal attacks.

Batman

  • air/ground Side Special – Corrected bug that Batman could overshoot his grapple location if the player who he was grappling to dodge.
  • Increased the distance for overshooting when grappling with an all-time ally.
  • Fixed Batman grapple fails in short distances, even under high latency
  • — Ground Side Attack – First hit was followed by three frames of whiff recovery.
  • air/ground Neutral attack (coming in patch 2.) The batarang’s pick-up will be returning 9.45s of cooldown from 11.55s. This changes creates an opening from the moment the batarang is picked up for opponents to respond. With benefits such as Coffeezilla that cause the cooldown to become shorter, we believed that this change was needed to make it easier to counter the batarang.

Bugs Bunny

Bugs Bunny is a bit too secure in everything that he does. We’ve added some whiff-punish windows to solve this.

  • Aer Up Special – Resolved an issue where Bugs could trigger two rockets.
  • • Air Side Special – Fixed an issue in which Bugs could launch two rockets.
  • — Air/Ground Neutral Special – Fixed an issue in which Bugs could create multiple safes and not trigger his cooldown.
  • Safe HP cut by 14 from 16.
  • * Air Down Special – Bugs that were previously tunnels will disappear when making new tunnels.
  • – Air Up Attack
  • Four frame of whiff recovery.
  • — Air Side Attack – Increased whiff recovery by 5 frames.
  • — Air Neutral Attack – Increased whiff recovery by 5 frames.
  • Ground Down Attack The maximum lifetime for pie is set at 8 seconds, ranging from infinity.
  • Pie is no longer needed an insipid

Finn

Fighting against Finn was too hard because Finn was a bit secure and could launch attacks with no fear of being punished because of how quickly the recovery process was. The foundational updates for the Hurt/Hit box are expected to be out soon, but won’t be included part of this version.

  • Passive – Attacks that are affected with Attack Decay no longer spawn coins
  • Finn is now able to spawn with 100 gold, instead of 200.
  • Plus Air Down Special – Fixed an issue that the gem needed 200 gold in order to be spawned, however, it only cost 100 gold to make it. Gem now requires 100
  • — Air Side Special – Added an additional whiff recovery.
  • Ground/Air Up Special Reducing the force of the vacuum impact on the backpack
  • Smaller blows to the backpack will not “overwrite” stronger knockbacks from other attacks
  • Whiffing on every hit will be able to drop an item.
  • A whiff recovery was added.
  • Hitboxes must be better matched to the offensive (not completely perfect until we plan our revamp of the hurt/hit box system)
  • — Air Side Attack – Reduced active frames to limit Finn’s power to strike opponents behind him.
  • It is a Ground Down Attack – The distance Finn covers when using this attack has increased with how much charged the attack is.
  • — Ground Side Attack – Increased whiff recovery on one hit.
  • * On the House perk – Resolved an issue that meant Finn was still spending gold on gems created by the perk
  • A little slower launch speed of gems that are spawned by this perk. This will help to fix problems that occurred when the perk was used together with “Make it Rain, Dog!” perk

Garnet

  • + Ground/Air Neutral Special – The song’s activation begins earlier in frame 12 instead of frame 30.
  • Ground/Air Down Special – Corrected bug that Garnet would get prevented by the collision of Iron Giant as she moved using the down feature.
  • + Air Neutral Attack – Slightly more knockback at the base

Harley

  • “Stuffie Bat – Harley Vfx of the bomb shrunk in order to better match the blast radius
  • + Weight + Weight 44.

Iron Giant

  • The VFX version • Global fighter VFX now more effectively is able to match Iron Giant’s dimensions without rendering the screen too busy. The most notable changes comprise Projectile Block buff Speed Boost buff and Steven Bubble buff
  • Ground/Air Down Special – Corrected an issue that caused VFX trails would continue to persist and fill the screen
  • No longer able to use the cannonball attack if you are out of specials in the air.
  • Knockback angle has been changed to make fighters further horizontally far away towards Iron Giant.
  • Fixed bugs that permitted indefinitely bounces on enemies close to the ground
  • — Air/Ground Neutral Special – Gray Health by activation is reduced from 2 HP + #bolts HP over 5 seconds to just #bolts HP after 3 secs.
  • Gray Health from ally overlap decreased from 5 HP for five seconds, to just 3 HP over 3 seconds
  • Ground Forward Special Iron Giant Grabs can be blocked by states that are not compatible.
  • Up Attack – Air Up Attack – Can no longer hit the same target more than three times
  • — Air Neutral Attack – Final knockback angle of the hit modified to move fighters vertically, far away Iron Giant
  • Scaling up knockback to higher levels
  • Ground Up Attack Gray Health from scrap reduced from 3 HP for 5 seconds to 2 HP for 3 seconds
  • Allies who consume scrap be able to erase any existing gray health that they might have from the consumption of scrap
  • Ground Forward Attack – Fixed decay of attack that is not activating for every elements of the forward attack combo
  • Ground Down Attack Art health reduced in 3 second intervals from 6 HP to 10 HP.

Jake

  • • Air Down Attack – Removed instantly canceling out the attack to avoid skating board infinites
  • Stop bouncing off allies
  • “Ground Up Attack Additional whiff recovery Slightly later cancellation window to make it more committing

LeBron

  • • air/ground Side Special – LeBron’s solo dunk does not cause an explosion to the ground.
  • The alley-oop version of LeBron’s Dunk generates an arc of shock and launches players into it. The shockwave launches fighters into a final strike which will apply a weakened debuff.
  • Hitbox size increased
  • Corrected a glitch where LeBron could sink himself in the air
  • Ground and Air Down Special (No Ball) Adjusted to block ball spam
  • + Air Side Attack – Branches earlier after hitting and fix hitboxes that hit behind him .
  • and Air Neutral Attack – Branches prior to hitting to boost combo possibilities.
  • Repair for ball neutral air that branches into ball neutral air that is not ball.
  • * Ground Side Attackor Down Attack – Ground Side Attack/ Down Attack – Eliminated the shared attack decay of sides attack as well as down attack
  • + Ground Side Attack – 3 combos that hit more frequently.
  • Ground Neutral Attack fixed angle attack.
  • Basketball – Resolved certain team colors that could appear when reflecting basketball from LeBron.
  • Fixing an issue in which LeBron could get stuck in a position of attacking without his ball despite playing with his ball.
  • The Hot Hands perk – If an ally receives a look-free pass when using the hot Hands perk is activated with a basketball pass buff, it emits flames that signal allies they’ll throw an ignited basketball

Reindog

  • Plus Air Up Special Removed hitpause from ally who toss Reindog after Reindog hits in ball form
  • Special Air/Ground Neutral – Cooldown increased between 13s and 14s
  • Plus Air-Up Attack Hitbox size increased

Shaggy

Shaggy’s Side Special felt a little too lenient, so we’ve added a little Whiff Recovery.

  • — Rage Air Side Special – Recovery was increased by two frames; now, it is more compatible with special ground side rage
  • The issue was resolved so that Shaggy could be able to perform two rage-themed specials
  • + Rage Ground Down Special – Shaggy’s shockwave can launch the fighters in a devastating strike that will grant Weakened debuff.
  • Ground/Air Side Special Additional 4 frame of whiff recovery

Steven

  • Ground Down Special – The cooldown for Watermelon Steven’s ability starts when Watermelon Steven has been called out.
  • Corrected a glitch where Watermelon Steven could be spawned inside ceilings and become stuck.
  • • Air Neutral Attack – No longer will animations tangle.
  • • VO/SFX: Fixed an issue in which Steven’s intro VO lines did not seem to play.
  • The Taunt feature was fixed – This fix an issue that meant Steven could only do his upward taunt.

Superman

  • Ground Neutral Attack Additional whiff recovery.
  • Ground Up Attack A second whiff was added to the mix.
  • Ground Down Special Additional whiff recovery.

Taz

This marks the beginning of our changes to the tornado for Taz. We will continue to watch the tornado closely with greater scrutiny in case any additional changes are required.

  • Chicken Debuff –
  • Fixed a glitch that allowed transformed fighters to receive buffs that did not show visually after returning to their normal appearance
  • Chicken duration reduced by 10 secs to
  • + An increase in the size of the chicken.
  • + Ground Down and Air Special – Adjusted movement of projectiles direction of Taz projectiles spit in a direction that is more forward, and less of an the lob.
  • + If Taz shoots a projectile to a fighter and the projectile is able to maintain its initial speed.
  • and Air/Ground Neutral Special If Taz takes a projectile and cannot be spit out Taz will reset the count of his core apple ability.
  • The size of the hit collision was increased to allow Taz eating projectiles from his special neutral. It also allowed him to eat projectiles several frames earlier.
  • Taz offers one stack of weakened debuffs each time he chews on an opponent.
  • Fixed a flaw that allowed moving on the ground after eating an adversary fighter
  • Special Air/Ground Up Damage reduced by 10 to 9, and base knockback decreased between 1500 and 1350
  • Correction of a problem that made enemy fighters invulnerable to the cloud of battle after they had evaded it.
  • Side Special for Ground and Air This is now a cooldown move with a 7-second cooldown. When the cooldown is in effect the side special is a less powerful version from the tornado.
  • Full power tornado is 1.5 second duration. After passing through an alligator, it is also granted an additional one second of duration.
  • On cooldown , tornado is 0.25 second duration. It also is not able to gain duration when passing an alligator.
  • And Ground Up attack It’s now a two-hit attack. The first hit combos are incorporated into the sandwich clap

Tom And Jerry

  • + Tom And Jerry – Dynamite now includes projectile perk effects.
  • The Air Normal Attacks – Corrected an issue that prevented Tom and Jerry from using normal attacks once the Air Special limit exceeded.
  • — Air Up Special – Fixed an issue in which Jerry would be hit frame active when falling off the rocket

Velma

  • • Air Side Special – Reduced moving distance.
  • The distance traveled before was a factor in giving Velma additional recovery , which was not the intention.
  • Air Up Special Reduced The stacks are weakened between 3 and 2.
  • It is no longer possible to chain in Air Down Attack as easily to stop the quick application of the damage.
  • Ground Side Special – Gray health reduced by 6HP for three seconds.
  • – Air Down Attack – Increased Recovery
  • The Air Side Attack – Added whiff recovery
  • Ground/Air Neutral Attack Correction of issues where word bubbles could pass through Bugs Tunnels.
  • Ammo count reduced from 4 to 3.
  • Ammo return is reduced from 11 to 10.
  • Weight – Weight has decreased from 60 to 63.
  • The Knowledge Is Power perk – Reduced gray health from 7 HP for 5 seconds to 3 HP for 3 seconds

Wonder Woman

  • and Ground/Air Neutral Special – Cooldown reduced by 12s from 13s
  • and Ground Side Special – Projectile Shield is released earlier in order to be more responsive toincoming projectiles.
  • “Air Up Attack Hurtbox should now better align with the animation.
  • + Weight + Weight to 76
  • * Shield of Athena Signature Perk Scale of projectile adjustable to suit shield to Shield of Athena signature perk to protect an edge case from which projectiles can pass through it in the dodge.
